Florida Company Makes Over $1 Million Dollars in International Sales with MAP Assistance

In 2021, Citrus World Inc. participated in the Branded Program through the Southern United States Trade Association’s Market Access Program. The Lake Wales, Florida-based farmer’s cooperative applied for MAP funding to receive 50% reimbursement to promote their premium Florida’s Natural orange and grapefruit juice line through advertising internationally on YouTube, Google, Tik Tok and Instagram and in magazines as well as creating temporary in-store displays in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and The United Arab Emirates. Through these international promotions, the cooperative was able to introduce several new products into these markets and connect with 18 new buyers, which resulted in collective sales of over $1.9 million, with an additional $2 million in projected sales in the months to come. “As the world was still dealing with COVID, we were not able showcase our products as needed.  As it has done in the past, SUSTA provided us with any help we needed,” says Sherry Richards, Citrus World, Inc. International Planning & Statistical Manager.
